Teaching Matters is a non-profit professional development organization that partners with educators to improve public schools. We use technology in the classroom to prepare teachers and their students for 21st Century learning and achievement.

Curricula and Programs

Applying the lessons learned from over a decade of experience with media and classroom instruction, we create new learning environments that resonate with today’s high-tech youth.

Teachers gain access to a complete set of lesson plans, accompanying classroom visuals and their own classroom blog. This online space is a user-friendly area where teachers can collect and evaluate students’ work and help them publish for a real online audience.

Student learning is scaffolded with amusing animated shorts and a series of curriculum-based multimedia activities and tutorials.

Our team is committed to advancing excellence in teaching and learning. We provide quality mentoring and support for teachers in the classroom and authentic experiences for students. Our approach is based on recognized research in the field of education.

Our work focuses on improving students’ performance in core subjects that are widely recognized as difficult to teach and learn, yet fundamental to success in school and beyond.

Our goal is always to help teachers improve student performance.

Supporting Education

We seek private and public funding for education. To date, we have raised over $8.5 million to support teachers and students.
